Organizational Setup
The Centre is governed by ICAR through the Deputy Director General, Animal Science Division and its Management Committee. Besides this, the Research Advisory Council and Staff Research Council support the functioning of the Centre by evaluating progress and formulating research programmes and activities.
Equine Health Unit
The Equine Health Unit (EHU), located at the main campus, Hisar, is responsible for research related to the health of equines.
Equine Production Campus
The sub-campus at Bikaner is mainly devoted to equine production related research activities and is designated as the Equine Production Campus (EPC).
Research Disciplines
The research activities of the Centre are organized under two broad disciplines, namely Equine Health and Equine Production, which are dealt with by the respective units.
Scientific Expertise
Each unit comprises a team of scientists having specialized training in their respective fields. The Centre also utilizes the services of external experts whenever required.
Supporting Units and Centralized Services
Research activities of both units are supported by the Basic and Supporting Disciplines Unit (BSDU). The research programmes are further strengthened by centralized services and administrative support.
